The purpose of this Participant Code of Conduct is to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants, spectators, and officials at the On The Spot Championship. Participants play a vital role in creating a supportive, respectful, and fair environment for everyone involved. By following this code of conduct, participants can help to promote sportsmanship, fair play, and a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Expectations
- Demonstrate Sportsmanship: Players and participants should conduct themselves with sportsmanship at all times. This includes respecting opponents, coaches, referees, and fellow participants, regardless of their skill level or team affiliation.
- Play Fair and Abide by Rules: Participants should adhere to the tournament rules and regulations, including playing within the spirit of the game and avoiding any unsporting behaviors.
- Respect Officials: Players and participants should respect the decisions of referees and other officials, even if they disagree with them. Engaging in arguing, yelling, or confronting officials is strictly prohibited.
- Maintain a Positive Attitude: Participants should approach the tournament with a positive attitude and focus on enjoying the experience. Avoid negativity, discouragement, or blaming others for mistakes or outcomes.
- Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Players and participants should contribute to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all, regardless of their background, skill level, or team affiliation.

Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with this Player/Participant Code of Conduct may result in the following consequences:
- Verbal Warning: A participant may receive a verbal warning from a tournament official for violating the code of conduct.
- Removal from the Tournament Match: A participant may be removed from a particular match or penalty shootout for repeated violations or severe misconduct.
- Removal from the Tournament: In cases of serious infractions or persistent disregard for the code of conduct, a participant may be removed from the entire tournament.
- Disqualification from Future Tournaments: In severe cases of misconduct or repeated violations, a participant may be disqualified from participating in future tournaments.
